Hi Friends! Winter is upon us. You can do one of a few things this winter: Suffer through it while daydreaming about the return of hot girl summer, or embrace it in the form of cool outerwear. While both sound fun, I’m going with the latter because its my favorite season. Sherpa, Shearling, Faux fur, Teddy, Shag, Fuzzy call it whatever you want. Just say hello to your new go-to cold weather coat.
The teddy coat is all the rage for the last couple years. So I had to finally get my hands on one. Its is a timeless design with feminine details. The look and feel of the Teddy Coat is undeniable. They’re soft and cozy, making you want to snuggle up into the fabric—just like your favorite teddy bear.

There are so many ways to style a Teddy coat or jacket. From pants, jeans, skirts and everything in between. It doesn’t take much because the teddy coat speaks for itself. Just knowing how to style it is key.
Here are five fun ways to style a teddy bear coat and you are sure to stand out from the crowd .

Skirt + fitted turtleneck + tights + heels

Keep it stylish and streamlined by adding a form fitted turtleneck and skirt. Yes, you can show some skin in the winter time. I added a touch of chicness and fun with this vinyl black skirt. You can pair a teddy coat with any colored skirt, add fun tights and funky heels to complete the look. Speaking of tights, they are my secret accessory for fall and winter. I can’t get enough of them. They can be worn with skirts and dresses. A short teddy coat or blazer would work just as well. As much as I love my pink teddy coat,  this one in my favorite color is bit more of an investment. For me, winter coats are a place that I can justify spending a little more.

Wide leg pants + tee + accessories

Volume, volume and more volume. Wide pants, yes are my absolute favorite. I don’t know what it is but with a teddy coat it just takes them to another level. I paired this look with a classic white tee and added a scarf for even more volume. You can pair with any pants, add statement top and boots.

Mini dress + strappy heels + tights

You can’t go wrong with pairing the teddy coat with cute mini dress. Faux leather is so in right now. I wrote more about faux leather so check it out. Back to this look, I wanted to add some sexiness to the teddy with a mini and heels. The white slogan tights and pink color of the coat just set the tone and mini dress just matched it perfectly. You can pair with any mini dress or skirt; add some sexy tights and you are ready for a night out.

Baggy boyfriend jeans + boots

Who doesn’t love a pair of baggy jeans? Teddy coats paired with jeans or better yet a pair of baggy slouchy jeans are so much fun. I don’t own too many pairs of baggy jeans but I’m beginning to add more to my wardrobe. They are super comfortable and can be dressed up or down. These were recently purchased at Nasty Gal and I love them. Western boots and graphic tee were added to top off this funky look. Speaking of western/cowboy boots they are so on point. Now designers are creating so many fun colors and designs. No western boots no problem, rock this look with an ankle boot, long boots or sneakers. And you don’t have to wear baggy jeans, any jeans or pants would be perfect.

Jeans + booties + oversized scarf

Jeans alone are great but add in oversized scarf and you are on the money. I paired the teddy coat with red booties and green crossover bag for a little pizzazz. Over-sized scarfs are the best for those cold days. The top half of my body is always the coldest in the winter. So I love covering up wearing scarves and they add so much to any look.
