This post is sponsored by Amazon, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Friends! I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving with family and friends. It is such a blessing for many of us to have family and friends to share, laugh and celebrate with during the holiday season.

There are those who aren’t as fortunate. Those who can’t take a hot shower, relax on the sofa, have a place to call home, or spend the holiday season with loved ones. Hence the reason we should do our part in helping those who are less fortunate. Giving back doesn’t have to be a grand gesture, it is often the small things that make a difference. I’ve partnered with Amazon to share three amazing ways to give back this holiday season.

Amazon Is Delivering Smiles

So what is AmazonSmile? AmazonSmile makes it easier than ever for you to give back this holiday season. It’s so easy to join Amazon in Delivering Smiles, by giving back to charities and organizations close to your heart. If you are already shopping on Amazon, all you need to do is start your shopping at smile.amazon.com so your charity of choice can receive a portion of the price of every eligible Amazon purchase.

I am Delivering Smiles to Hosea Feed The Hungry And Homeless, Inc. this holiday season.

Giving back never goes out of style. It’s something my family and I have always done. Homelessness has touched my heart my entire life. I’ve had family members homeless and I, at one time, was almost homeless myself.

The homeless population is staggering. According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Annual Homeless Assessment Report, as of 2018 there were around 553,000 homeless people in the United States on a given night. WOW! No matter how tough we think life is, there’s always someone who has to face challenges that are far worse than ours. Here in Atlanta, I love helping the homeless. I most often donate my time, clothes and money to the homeless community.

While many families are shopping for gifts this holiday season, there are so many who don’t have that luxury. It’s certainly not just a holiday thing, but the holiday season is a perfect time to give back. The perfect time to show your family the importance of doing so. The perfect time to bring holiday cheer to someone in need.

AmazonSmile Charity List

As mentioned, AmazonSmile Charity List is the method I chose to give back. I was able to select the items for my charity, Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless. They provide holiday dinner events, crisis and care centers, food bank services, and a lifeline of supportive housing, plus enrichment programs, for the homeless. The Charity Lists make it easy to browse by cause or search for items that your favorite organization needs. This is where you can purchase items to be donated that are delivered directly to the charity at their designated address. I love selecting items from the charity list because of the ‘browse by cause’ feature to find any and every cause you could imagine.

AmazonSmile

AmazonSmile is another way to give back this holiday season. This option allows you to support your favorite charitable organization by donating a portion of the purchase price of eligible Amazon purchases Amazon order to the charity of your choice. I use this method quite often. I love this one because I’m always shopping on Amazon and it gives me limitless potential to give back. All you do is select your favorite charity. You can change the charity whenever you like. There is no cost to you.

Donating with Alexa

Donating with Alexa Amazon is another great option. It makes it easier than ever for those in the giving spirit to donate to a registered charity of their choice with Alexa. You – just say, “Alexa, I want to make a donation” to any Alexa enabled device! How simple is that!

If you are looking for a simple, automatic way to continue supporting your favorite charity this holiday season, head over to smile.amazon.com and give back today. Please share in the comments ways you are giving back this holiday season.

At the end of the dayit’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished. It’s about what you’ve done with those accomplishments. Its about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. ” Denzel Washington

I had no idea Amazon did this! I like that you can pick which charity you want.

Yes, isn’t this amazing. I love that idea too. I also love that you can order items and
have them sent directly to the charity.
